With Tewantin being split into two areas “Old” and “New” Tewantin you will find a range of different homes, even within the same price bracket as Old Tewantin tends to have homes that are sitting on larger blocks and more traditional Queenslander type properties.

Unit prices have had a more turbulent journey with the price increasing and then dipping back in 3 of the 5 years but achieving solid growth since October 2020.

While the last 12-24 months have definitely seen unprecedented growth due to the economic climate, it has set a new floor for property in the Tewantin area in line with its neighbours in Noosaville, Noosa Waters and Noosa Junction.

Major Amenities around Tewantin:

Tewantin is so close to Noosaville and all the major amenities provided there but you won’t find yourself short on everything you need for every day convenience.

Poinciana Avenue:

This diverse rainforest is home to a vast array of wildlife and native foliage right on your doorstep. With walking and mountain bike trails through the forest it’s easy to get your nature fix.

Noosa Marina:

With a selection of shops, restaurants and cafes as well as weekly Sunday markets the marina is a perfect place to relax to some live music and unwind on a weekend.

A Little Bit Of History On Tewantin:

• The name Tewantin is an Anglicised version of the aboriginal word for the area, Dauwadhum (meaning “place of dead logs”), because of the lumber mill there.
• Tewantin was originally a timber town. In 1869, Tewantin became the river port for the nearby Noosa region. In 1871, Clarendon Stuart laid out a town site for the new Tewantin township. Tewantin grew into a bustling small town with a dependence on the gold, fishing, and timber industries.
• The first school opened in Tewantin on 2nd of August 1875 and on 25th April 1887 it became known as Tewantin State School.
• The Tewantins War memorial commemorates those from the area who served in World War I. It was dedicated in January–February 1922 by Colonel David Elder Reid
