Five Things To Do in Noosa for Christmas 2020
It’s fair to say 2020 has been a little disrupted in terms of events and community gatherings, but this Christmas there will still be plenty of ways to spread the festive cheer as Noosa lights up, kick back, and readies to embrace the Christmas season ahead.
So, as we gear up for the festive season, here are five things to do in Noosa for Christmas 2020.
Christmas markets
Looking for some one-of-a-kind Christmas presents while supporting local artisans? Then look no further than the smorgasbord of great Christmas markets that are set to forge ahead.
Eumundi will lead the charge in the market stakes, hosting their world-renowned markets throughout the festive season on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
Meanwhile, the Noosa Farmers Markets will be open for the regular Sunday morning markets, and also from 6 am to noon on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Extravaganza – Eumundi
Eumundi is also set to host a Christmas Extravaganza on December 11, with entertainment including carols, a visit from Santa, and stall holders in attendance.
The free, family event will run from 4 pm to approximately 8 pm. Tickets to this event are limited, but you can book them here.
Christmas convoy
Events might be few and far between, but Noosa Council has stepped in to spread some cheer, bringing Christmas to residents, courtesy of the Connecting Noosa Christmas Convoy.
Running from December 7 to December 11, the event sees a festive convoy of emergency services vehicles follow Santa through different parts of the shire each day between 4 pm and 6 pm.
Residents are encouraged to stand in their driveways and celebrate with neighbors as the convoy passes through the identified streets. Find more information about which streets will be visited, and when.
Christmas flotilla – Noosa Waters
Noosa residents love the water at any time of year and at Christmas it’s no different, with the suburb of Noosa Waters embracing the festive season with a boat flotilla.
The flotilla sees decorated vessels travel the waterways of Noosa Waters, spreading good cheer. You can learn more about the intended flotilla route and best vantage points here.
Christmas lights
What’s Christmas without the twinkling allure of decorations and lights after dark on a warm summer’s eve?
If you’re looking to find the best Christmas lights displays in the region, then look no further than the Noosa/Tewantin Christmas Lights Facebook page or Local Life Magazine.
